Echo

Echo was cursed by Juno, who made her unable to form her own sentences. She could only repeat the last words already spoken by others (the origin of the term echo).

‘Echo’ features two shallow bowls recovered from the Tek-Sing shipwreck. This ship sank in 1822 in the South China Sea while carrying 350,000 pieces of porcelain and lay hidden until 1999. The bowls are encrusted with marine life, a record of the centuries they spent lost under the sea. A crab claw found on the coast of Cornwall in the UK is suspended between the bowls.
